Starting a new book with a cat sleeping on my foot. 😻 Using this for the #tartannoir prompt for #Booked2020 (also it‘s my middle square for #BookSpinBingo, so bonus!). #catsoflitsy #bookhousecats

Denise Mina‘s novels are full of the dirty, gritty, corrupt and joyous world of Glasgow. God‘s and Beasts also shows us how politics shapes the city. A great read.
This was another in the alex morrow series and very readable police procedural in which apparently unrelated crimes slowly draw together. Police corruption and family tension makes the job especially hard for alex only months after the birth of her twins.

My favourite of the Alex Morrow series so far. The characters feel realistic, especially Alex. And I love books set in Glasgow that wear their local colours well.
This is the third in the Alex Morrow series by Denise Mina I've read. Love them! First two on audio were great as well.
