pickIt took me a while to get into this and then I read two-thirds almost in one go! I didn't love Emily's attitude to the people of Constantinople, and the plot with her potential pregnancy reminded me a lot of Mary Robinette Kowal's Glamour in Glass, which threw me off... but I did enjoy it.
pick⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 The 4th book in Tasha Alexander‘s Lady Emily series, this was a fun and quick read for anyone who likes Historical Fiction with a Murder Mystery thrown in. This wasn‘t my favorite of the series so far, I think because I‘m not as familiar with the setting (Constantinople during the Victorian era). But it was still enjoyable and I plan to continue the series. #bookreview #historicalmurdermystery
