This book chronicles the longest war in U.S. History. From the captive boy and the false accusation of the wrong bad of Apache to the last free Apache. This is not a Politically Correct book. It doesn‘t drawn any conclusions and reads like a novel. It dispels myths. Geronimo was not the hero among his people that we think he was. The sheer number of Apaches who supported the U.S. Army ranged in the hundreds. I really liked this and learned a lot.
