pickUnderstated yet ominous, a slow burn of a book in which you know something horrible happens at the climax from the get-go. You're just waiting to see exactly what it will be and how it will play out. I am uncomfortable saying i enjoyed this book, more that i enjoyed the process of reading it. I don't know that i've read another book anything like it.
I decided to keep a book over at the beau‘s house to read on lazy evenings. This is the first one I‘m reading in this context! ❤️📚
pickStill digesting this #audiobook but I definitely enjoyed it and there was a moment, at least an hour in, when I became hooked and quite invested in "figuring it out." There is a fair amount of plot but this is really a character study and I super enjoyed it-so happy I found it under "latino voices" in hoopla :)
