Freeze Tag
Freeze Tag | Caroline B. Cooney
1 post | 5 read
“Suppose that you really could freeze somebody” There always was something a little off about Lannie, but when she poses the question during a game of freeze tag—“Suppose that you really could freeze somebody”—Meghan and Tuesday think she’s joking and just being her usual weird self. But Lannie’s freezing power horrifyingly turns out to be anything but a game. To save Meghan and Tuesday from Lannie, popular neighborhood boy West Trevor must make a desperate deal—a deal that will affect the course of their lives in ways none of them could ever have predicted. Years later, the memory of Lannie’s power has been dismissed as a childhood fantasy. Meghan and West have become the kind of desperately-in-love high school couple that fuels teenage fantasies. When a jealous Lannie reminds them of her terrifying secret power, West is forced to hold up his end of the bargain made all those years ago—and Meghan will pay the price. This ebook features an illustrated biography of Caroline B. Cooney including rare images and never-before-seen documents from the author’s personal collection.

Pickpick

I came across this childhood favourite at the local goodwill. I didn't pick it up, but I may go back for it since I haven't seen a copy in many years. I loved anything Caroline B. Cooney, but this was up there with the Face on the Milk Carton for me, even though it was a bit cheesy. This was even the same edition I read as a kid.

Beatlefan129 Gosh I loved Caroline B Cooney! My favorite was 5y
elizabethlk @Beatlefan129 I think all of my friends loved her too. I read a ton of her stuff, but other than Freeze Tag, my other favourite was the obvious 5y
IndoorDame That cover takes me back! This was a favorite of mine too! 5y
