pickEhrman writes about the Problem of Evil and how Christians have attempted to “square the circle” the millennia. I love a good dilemma and this is a classic. Multiple horns and lots of consequences; according to Ehrman, too many facile responses to a very deep philosophical conundrum.
pickI just finished the tagged book for IRL book club tomorrow. It's an excellent book. I just don't know who it's for.
A lifelong Evangelical Christian and PhD Theologian asks " Why We Suffer?" And ultimately becomes an agnostic.
Other non religious people have drawn similar conclusions without the decades of rigorous scholarship.
Believers will undoubtedly want little to do with a book of this sort.
If you're intrigued, it's a good book.
