Just realised I didn‘t do #adventrecommends day 24! So here it is: there are a lot of good books about writing, and improving your writing, but I‘m reccing this one because I don‘t see it mentioned that often.

Scarlett Thomas has written several books I really love, and teaches creative writing at a university. This books is basically her uni course in book form, and I found it really helped me.

@crowcrumbs Went to Ohio without me, and all I got was this awesome typewriter! Royal Mercury (1971 Japan) good working condition (missing the “a” key, but it was a steal.

I've read hundreds of books on writing, but this is the first one that I cannot put down and will probably turn straight back to page one when I finish. This is a library copy but going to have to buy my own so I can read it again, make notes, highlight and annotate.
