I thought I‘d find a book on my shelves I haven‘t posted before for this one. I remember loving this book 20 years ago - if I remember correctly it‘s a “poor scholarship boy entranced by rich boy‘s life and family” type story. Might have to read it again to see if it stands up well. Anyway it still has a great first sentence!
