Doom Patrol Book One
Doom Patrol Book One | Grant Morrison
1 post | 4 read
The new Doom Patrol puts itself back together after nearly being destroyed, and things start to get a lot weirder for everybody. The Chief leads Robotman, the recently formed Rebis and new member Crazy Jane against the Scissormen, part of a dangerous philosophical location that has escaped into our world and is threatening to engulf reality itself. This new collection features the first book of Grant Morrison's definitive run, which launched his career as one of the comic industry's most innovative and creative writers! Collects Doom Patrol #19-34.

After finishing the third volume of Gerard Way's take on Doom Patrol, I was hungry for more. So, I checked out Grant Morrison Book 1. It did not disappoint & I am a confirmed fan. Including a group of villains who model themselves after the Dada movement & incorporating art & poetry into different storylines (Magritte's The Human Condition seemed to be the basis for a painting that would consume reality); this is definitely one of the more (CONT)

vivastory imaginative graphic novels that I have ever read. I see that my downtown library has the next 2 books. Will definitely be checking them out this week! 4mo
DaveGreen7777 I loved Morrison‘s Doom Patrol run! Volume 2 is even better, that‘s where they introduce the Brotherhood of Dada! 4mo
