Pickpick

🎧 a lot of common sense. Could have been a Ted Talk (maybe it is) there was still good thoughts here.

It was good information that I wouldn‘t argue with.

The most important thing I took away from this book … the reminder that you should say NO more often & throw yourself obsessively into the one task that you‘ve prioritized as the most important.

I wish it told me how to get my focus back …. It seems Covid has stolen it …

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/4

Morten expounds on a study he performed on 5000 workers on various jobs to give seven ways to "work smarter" and be more productive rather than working "harder" and putting in tons of overtime. Some good insights, but repetitive and sometimes dry, with not a lot that I could really implement or change what I already do. Your mileage may vary.

Some solid ideas; lots of padding. I like the idea of redesigning work to make it both more efficient and fulfilling instead of bailing on your job and “chasing your dream job.” As a result of this book I‘m taking up a “passion” project at the library: a domestic violence mobile book collection that will travel to shelters and be named for a murdered DV victim. The Kristen Collection will be unveiled 2/2019 on the 5th anniversary of her death.
