Welcome to Litsy!

It was my first book which I read, I was not so excited for reading this or while developing reading habit. I took approx. a month to complete this book. But after this book every book which I read, I took atmost a day to complete that.
What I found is I developed a new habit in me, reading habit.
Literally, now I am always excited to read books & I like it. I cann't say love because there is a lot to develop for that.

If this was a Bond movie, I would have gotten up and left the theater. I could take the misogyny and sexism, it takes place in 1969 after all, but Boyd's Bond is just so dull. Not even a good Bond villain to play off the secret agent.

A great classic Bond story. Intrigue, action, women and drink. I‘d recommend it to anyone who lives a good spy novel.

Every Monday I'm going to review something I read before I joined Litsy. First up is Solo, a James Bond novel that picks up a few years after the Fleming books. Boyd gets the tone right for that era, but also includes the misogyny & racism. Good story, but I would've liked a more enlightened 007.
