4 posts | 4 read | 6 to read
There's a fine line between love and hate . . . And for the last seven years, Natalie Groves has hated Jeremy Walters. Natalie Groves was meant for great things. But soon after her fianc left, Natalie's father was diagnosed with cancer. Suddenly her grand plans evaporated . . . and God felt very far away. Fast-forward seven years, and an internship presents Natalie a chance at her destiny--but she needs a job to work around it. And the only offer available is worse than a life sentence. Her ex Jeremy, now back in town, is desperate for help with his infant son and troubled teenage niece, Lili. And Natalie may be just the one to help Jeremy . . . provided they don't kill each other in the process. When Jeremy and Natalie join forces, sparks fly. But will either of them get burned along the way?

This was a bit confusing with many different points of view. It's labelled as romance, but somehow the story was more about family problems rather than the second chance love story it's hailed as.

Inspirational Christian Fiction.
I enjoyed the multiple storylines and how everything wasn't wrapped up in a cute little bow. Real life isn't always perfect and sometimes this genre can appear that way. Pastors and church leaders are placed on a pedestal and can fall just as easily out of line with the faith they practice. Already preordered this author's second titled expected out in January 2020.

Laura317 @MaggieCarr I‘ve not read this author, but you‘ve got me intrigued! Might I suggest an author to you? 2mo

“Witty. Charming. Heartfelt. I could go on and on about Jessica Kate‘s debut novel. From its highly relatable characters to its pitch-perfect dialogue, Love and Other Mistakes is a delightful, romantic read filled with just the right amount of sass.” —Melissa Tagg, Carol Award–winning author of Now and Then and Always and the Walker Family series
