4/5 ⭐

This book was heartbreaking. For many different reasons.

Again, this isn't just about a romance between two young person who loved each other who went separate ways. It's about dealing with hard life situation, forgivness, betrayal and so much more. I wasn't ecpecting this at all.

It was a great story.

I bought these on kindle recently.
Luckily, one of you recommended Get A Life Chloe Brown and when I went on kindle to check it out, it was only 2.99. 😊

I initially thought this was going to be a romantic comedy, but it is far more. The story dives deep into some huge character and family issues, and I inhaled it. Big, big themes of betrayal, forgiveness, and redemption in here. I liked the ending, but I would have loved more about the resolution of some of these big issues.

I‘m hoping the second book (on sale next week) will give more insight into some of these characters‘ situations.

This was a bit confusing with many different points of view. It's labelled as romance, but somehow the story was more about family problems rather than the second chance love story it's hailed as.

Inspirational Christian Fiction.
I enjoyed the multiple storylines and how everything wasn't wrapped up in a cute little bow. Real life isn't always perfect and sometimes this genre can appear that way. Pastors and church leaders are placed on a pedestal and can fall just as easily out of line with the faith they practice. Already preordered this author's second titled expected out in January 2020.

Laura317 @MaggieCarr I‘ve not read this author, but you‘ve got me intrigued! Might I suggest an author to you? 5y

“Witty. Charming. Heartfelt. I could go on and on about Jessica Kate‘s debut novel. From its highly relatable characters to its pitch-perfect dialogue, Love and Other Mistakes is a delightful, romantic read filled with just the right amount of sass.” —Melissa Tagg, Carol Award–winning author of Now and Then and Always and the Walker Family series
