I really liked the story.
A game of who did this? Why? What happened? There is only one thing that was obvious from the beginning but it didn't ruined the story. While a family reunites to celebrated Nana birthday on Halloween, we visit their past through VHS tapes and secrets well kept by the family is unveiled. 🎃🍁🍄

A story told backwards. Jen, a lawer, witnesses her son kill a stranger. To understand why he did so, everyday she wakes up she goes back in time discovering the reason why it happened. Thriller mix with science fiction. I really liked it but the ending was weak in my opinion. It wasn't satisfiying.
I stayed up late to finish this one. 🙈

This book is about Ava perspective on what happened with Winnie, an old friend from University.
She writes a letter to a police officer telling the story of how and why she accepted Winnie's offer to bring fake purse/bags to America.
It wasn't to best book I read this year. I found the story to be forgettable. I preferred reading about Ava and her family but the rest of the story wasn't that good.

The story was interesting.
Young teenage romance and drama.
Easton and Ellis are friends since they were 5 years old. Ellis is practically living at the Albrey's. Her parents are almost never present. Something happens between East and Elle and stop talking to eachother for a year. When Elle comes back to town to celebrate East mother's 50th birthday, many things left unspoken between them will finally be said.

This story will make you think. I wanted to hug each character. An important story that needs to be read.

Both Beyah and Samsun had a difficult past. When they find each other they discover that they have a lot in common.
While I didn't care much for the romance I liked how the author didn't shy away of explaining the differences between poor and rich.
I liked how though and independent Beyah was at the beginning but then she let all her guards down, because a boy loved her?
Maybe I'm a little too old for those kind of romance.
