The Bombshell Effect

#BookReport - Finished three books, all of which I quite enjoyed. Bailed on Before Green Gables - it just clashed way too much with Montgomery's writing that I couldn't deal. I flipped later into the book & found myself wondering if the author actually KNEW any children, as the dialogue between a supposedly-five-year-old-Anne & a random adult was absurd. Anyway. I started Nation of Enemies as another #BFC read but just couldn't get into a story ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) where everyone has been microchipped & given a “health risk number“ that determines whether or not they are allowed to move around, reproduce, or access certain resources based on how likely they are to have/get ill. Too close to home right now.

The other two books will get bumped to next week, especially since I started reading the mindless fluff that is the tagged book - my brain needed some candy!!

TheAromaofBooks @RachelO @Cinfhen - It's especially frustrating when I can't get into a book I know I want to read or would normally enjoy, but I've learned that sometimes I just need to set that book aside and find some brain candy to get me through! 😂 5y
