A page turner! Max goes home for the funeral of her best friend in high school who had been accused of murder back then. It turned out he committed suicide so she would go through his research and find the real murderer. At the same time an older couple asks her to look into their grandson‘s recent murder. Not what she planned but sometimes you do what falls into your lap.

I've had this on my tbr for forever. Finally finished it today and enjoyed it.

I am definitely ready to read the other novels in this series! This one had me hooked from the beginning. I love the character of Max Revere. She is fearless, gutsy, and passionate about her work. Definitely 5 Stars!

I am totally digging the Max Revere series! I love her story, her sassiness, her tell it like it is attitude and her compassion. Looking forward to reading more!

I've been reading this book for about a week but I'm less than 20% into it due to being so busy and a family emergency. Hope to get back to it today.

While I liked this book, it wasn't one that I would sit and devour in a day. Overall a good story and I will read more by her.
