Loved this cozy mystery. Perfect month to read as it involves witches, warlocks, fairies, werewolves, vampires and best of all a talking cat. Know I will have to get the rest of the series..that always happens, doesn't it🤷

This was a great cozy for the Halloween season. It hit all the tropes, but it also used history in a really interesting way that enriched the worldbuilding - from Roanoke to the Salem trials. Zoe also has a really special relationship with her grandmother, which reminded me of my relationship with my own grandmother, who very recently passed. So the book hit some unexpected emotional notes for me... hard. I'll definitely grab book 2.

Crazeedi A big litsy hug, my sympathies and your kitty is adorable 4y

I can tell I'm in a bit of a reading rut because I have several books on the go at once... nothing is really grabbing my full attention. That said, this one is still a fun way to kill time before bed. I think it'll end up being one of my favourite cozy series (up there with The Vampire Knitting Club! 🔮🧛‍♂️)

SW-T I‘ll have to check out The Vampire Knitting Club! Sounds like fun 😊 4y
ShyBookOwl @SW-T it really is. The first one has a surprisingly good sense of place. The description of Oxford really pops. 4y

Summer, in my house, means my kiddos occupy all my time. I'm finally getting an opportunity to sit down and read! Thought I would give this a go. Its not my usual genre but its cute so far!
