A cute autumn themed book that kind of blends together the autumn equinox, Halloween and Thanksgiving. Published in 2019, quite a few years after Maya moved on from the Owl Diaries series, which she used to love, so it was new to me!

Not exactly #Screamathon, but it is a fun little book. One criticism: helping others seems to be an afterthought in the plot, a missed opportunity for a storyline on inclusion.

It‘s the kind of week that I‘m getting in 3 hours of work before 8:30am, so I‘m taking a break with an autumn kids book. Maya just woke up, and she loved this series when she was younger, so she‘s going to read it later as a light, fun break from preparing for her quarterly exams.

Lemon ginger tea for those cool fall mornings; I always wake up with a scratchy throat during the change of seasons and this is one of go to teas to help with that!

the Owl Diaries series is always a fav! Love the adorable illustrations and stories.
