Mehso-so

As I read this I began to realise that I had read it before and remembered that I was disappointed the first time, most likely as a teenager. I was not as disappointed this time but can understand how my teenage self wanted to know more about the redevelopment of Marina‘s relationship with her father. I distinctly remember be annoyed at the relegation of her name and continue to feel that it should have not been given. That‘s all.

Pickpick

⭐⭐⭐⭐/5⭐'s

This was a reread but it had been 10 or so years since I last read it and I didn't remember much about it. The book is a little dated but it broke my heart. It tackles PTSD, depression and suicide in an interesting way. One of my favourite things about this book is how it looks at various forms of communication, particularly non verbal communication.

Trigger warnings for domestic violence and abuse, suicide and depression.

Winter sometimes seems like years,
Summer‘s sometimes far away,
But winter always turns to summer,
As surely as does night to day.
