The Summer's End novel by Joel A Sutherland is a story about a group of friends who challenge their past at a haunted cabin. the group has problems getting along and has many haunting occurrences happen. the impacts of there unresolved problems looks to show how the past shapes the present when the group has many confrontations and looks like it is going to have a fall out but the group ends in forgiveness. if you like books that have lots of
in the first half of this novel the story takes place around a group of young teenagers who reunite for a summer getaway. when they hangout there old issues come out and starts to effect the chemistry of the group a bit. reoccurring weird unexplained events and strange noises puts the characters in an uneasy setting. throughout the first 102 pages there has been many flashbacks showing characters childhoods and past traumas and struggles.
pickSummer's end is wonderful marvelously written and unforgettable horror story for middle grade students. It a classic ghosts story with a generations old mystery with a nice surprise twist. A very easy read but overall fun. Recommend for middle graders and up.
