#20series20days Day 14
Justin DeQuincy mysteries
Set in medieval England, a 20 year old well educated orphan, finds himself w/o a home so sets out to make his way in the world. He encounters a dying man who begs him to take a letter to Queen Eleanor who is ruling in place of her absent son, Richard the Lionheart. Justin ends up working for the queen as her private investigator. Period details & interesting characters make this a win in my book.
Great series. I really wish she had continued it; I'd love to read more of Justin's adventures. Eleanor of Aquitaine as a character is usually enough to get my attention but in addition to that draw, I enjoy the medieval English setting, the glimpses of royal life at the time contrasted with much lower levels of society, and the mysteries. Plus. Justin has managed to become one of my #litcrushes !
