I enjoyed this story of female gangsters in post-WWII England, but probably not enough to continue the series. Alice, the leader of the all-female The Forty Thieves, recruits Nell, an unwed mother-to-be, into her gang. After a betrayal that lands Nell in jail, she vows revenge on Alice.

This ebook is on sale right now and it‘s a marvelous read. It‘s the best #letterQ book I‘ve read since doing the #LitsyAtoZ challenge. I highly recommend it and I hope to read it again someday. Definitely an action-packed historical thriller.

Adorable kids book told from the dog‘s POV about the first time that Queen Victoria had a Christmas tree as a focal point of the holiday. Though it was Prince Albert‘s idea!

I enjoyed the latest installment in this Christmas series. Robin is a burnt out musician visiting his brother for Christmas and meets Ben, the town doctor with two adorable twin girls. They connect immediately but Robin has to learn that his presence isn't poison to those he loves.
This is very much a hurt/comfort story with a lot of healing.

Eliza and Will have made a lovely home for themselves and their two children in Kansas but when Will goes to fight for the Union against the “seceshes” (secessionists), Eliza must run the farm mostly alone and face life as “just a woman,” in a very man‘s world. She must decide whether to help an escaped slave, how to deal with brutal thugs who would as soon kill her and her kids as look at her, and whether she should let a secesh help her when ⬇️

I enjoyed this fun holiday read. I alternated between the ebook and audiobook and loved the narration. Aunt Cindy and Max were great supporting characters who provided some hilarious moments.
