Gissy I‘m glad you liked it!🥰 I should get one for me next time I visit the bookstore🤗I‘m trying to focus because I always want an extra item for me☺️Can you imagine if I do that in every swap or gift😳We booklovers are terrible with these bookish items, we want everything🤦🏽‍♀️But we are happy surrounded by these things😍🙌It was difficult decision for @Catsandbooks with the jar she gave me, I totally understood😂😂😂 2y
Catsandbooks @Gissy exactly! During swaps I'm always finding stuff I want for myself too! 😂 2y

A fun summer-y jaunt that follows a quirky set of characters from NY to a transatlantic ship to the English countryside. Full of fiancés, misunderstandings, and hijinks - only Wodehouse could contrive to have it all turn out right in the end!

There was a movie in the 60s, which I have to see! ?

I‘ll get it on its way to you, Chrissy!

Not my all-time favorite Wodehouse but still a lot of fun. I don't know how he makes me totally roll with loads of coincidences and nonsense, but I do, and I love it. There is just no other author out there whose writing relaxes and entertains me the way his does.

This is for my other #LMPBC group and is heading your way today @mabell !!
@Chrissyreadit @julieclair

Ruthiella I love his ridiculous humor too!😂 2y
mabell Yay! I‘m in the mood for a cruise 😄 2y

Yay!! #LMPBC #GroupL for Lighthearted!! I am super excited about sharing some fun fiction with you all this round!! Here are some Wodehouse to consider. The solid blue one is the tagged book. They are all stand alones except for Full Moon, which is a Blandings Castle book but, like the Jeeves stories, can be read independently. Let me know if you have already read some of these or if one strikes your fancy. I will say that Wodehouse story ⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) synopses never seem able to actually capture what is going to happen 😂 Just assume there will be shenanigans, aunts, secret identities, inheritances, and people engaged to the wrong people. 😆

Chrissyreadit I am soooooo excited. But willing to let you all pick ❤️❤️❤️😘 3y
mabell Excellent nutshelling of the classic Wodehouse story. 😂 I don‘t think I‘ve read any of these! Girl on a Boat sounds extra interesting - an ocean liner! - but whichever you think would be the best fit for the group is fine! 3y

julieclair @TheAromaofBooks @Chrissyreadit @mabell Sorry for the late reply! I did a search for Group L to see which books we had settled on, and found this. My handle is @julieclair (no “e” on the end), so I didn‘t get the tag. I love Wodehouse and would be happy with any of these books. Have we chosen yet? If not, my vote goes to Girl on a Boat. 🛳 2y
TheAromaofBooks @julieclair - I'm so sorry!!!! Then in my mind I just decided “Girl on a Boat“ and never actually confirmed that with anyone 😂 So for our group I have myself down for Girl on a Boat, @mabell for Regency Buck, @Chrissyreadit for Venetia, and @julieclair for Diary of a Provincial Lady. Is that what we decided?? 2y
julieclair Yay! This is going to be so much fun! 2y

Wodehouse always makes my day better. My favorite line from this one was probably: “At this, she melted perceptibly. She did not cease to look like a basilisk, but she began to look like a basilisk who has had a good lunch.“
