This was such a dark and sad read! Like it truly made my heart feel so sad and that's a first when reading about The Countess Bathory. The way she could not feel she could trust anyone around here and had so much responsibility. The way she's depicted in this story is a bit different, less gore and more punishment at her hands.

3rd book about Countess Erzsébet Bathory's life I've read about! I'm very intrigued about the stories pertaining to her and what people believe to be truth or rumor.
