This was such a dark and sad read! Like it truly made my heart feel so sad and that's a first when reading about The Countess Bathory. The way she could not feel she could trust anyone around here and had so much responsibility. The way she's depicted in this story is a bit different, less gore and more punishment at her hands.

KathyWheeler That‘s a very different take on her story. 2y
KateReadsYA @KathyWheeler Yeah it talked more about the country and politics and her place in the midst of it all. It talked a lot about her family as well. 2y

3rd book about Countess Erzsébet Bathory's life I've read about! I'm very intrigued about the stories pertaining to her and what people believe to be truth or rumor.

We have a winner. Congrats to @littlewolf360 for guessing my costume! I am Elizabeth Bathory, the Blood Countess! This picture is terrible, you can't see my needles in my skirt or the blood down the front of my dress 😞
