Unsung Hero | Suzanne Brockmann
7 posts | 13 read | 5 to read
Suzanne Brockmann s wildly popular Troubleshooters series showcases this master storyteller s rare gift for blending intense adventure with sensuous romance. And it all begins with "The Unsung Hero, "a heart-pounding tale of love that reveals hidden truths and brings two solitary people together against all odds. After a near-fatal head injury, Navy SEAL lieutenant Tom Paoletti catches a glimpse of an international terrorist in his New England hometown. When he calls for help, the Navy dismisses the sighting as injury-induced imaginings. In a last-ditch effort to prevent disaster, Tom creates his own makeshift counterterrorism team, assembling his most loyal officers, two elderly war veterans, a couple of misfit teenagers, and Dr. Kelly Ashton. As the town s infamous bad boy, Tom was always in love with Kelly, a sweet girl next door who has grown into a remarkable woman. Now he has one final chance for happiness, one last chance to win her heart, and one desperate chance to save the day. Thanks to Suzanne Brockmann s glorious pen, we all get to revel in heartstopping adventure and blistering romance. "RT Book Reviews""

Mehso-so

I'm re-reading this series. This is clearly one of her first books and it reads like one. The only couple I like in it are Mallory and David and they're background characters. The series does get better on the third book, but the first two are hard for me to get through.

Josh was my Juke Box Hero this morning. He unloaded the car and took care of the dogs and let me sleep.

Want to be a Litsy Swap hero? We are creating a database of generous Littens who would be willing to send out a replacement package if needed. Head over to @LitsySwaps for more info! This is to help people who sign up for a swap, but never receive a package from their swap partner.

Sharing because I am grateful to the lovely @Smashlee who sent me a cozy blanket in my favourite colour and the book I‘m now enjoying when my match went missing.

Smashlee Aaaaaah, that‘s very sweet. It was my pleasure 🙂 7y

Pickpick

Revisiting #Troubleshooters from the beginning. It's been long enough that I didn't remember any of the details so it was like a new book with vaguely familiar characters. Suz does secondary characters & plotlines so well. Sam Starrett is such a jerk in this one...you just know it is going to be the@beginning of good enemy to lovers story arc. #romantsy

Not the best of all the Troubleshooters books, but it's a solid beginning. I love the women in Brockmann's books; they kick ass and take names, and see their boyfriends when neither of them are out saving the world. Yes, there's romance, but mostly the books are adventure with a side of romance.

Rebekaaah I need to re-read this series! 😍 8y
