Something that stuck out the strongest to me was the illustrations. They presented “kings and queens” time perfectly, very formal and crowded streets.
so-soKing Arthur The Sword in the Stone by Hudson Talbott published in 1991 is a decent story. I think students would find it more interesting than I do, which I need to take into consideration. However, it‘s extremely wordy and long for a early childhood education classroom.

I would use this book in my classroom when my students are learning about fairytales and old myths. Merlin and the sword in the stone story is a very popular fairytale. It is a great book and the illustrations are very creative and easy on the eye. This is a great book for children second and up to read in the classroom.
pickThis book is about a boy who meets the wizard, Marlin, and then together they adventure the magic world. Merlin, the wizard, mentors the boy and teaches the boy all his magic spells and ways. I enjoyed reading this book and thought it fit perfectly into the magical fairytale section of stories.
