“Arthur confessed that he had searched in vain for Sir Kay‘s sword and had borrowed this one instead.”
Something that stuck out the strongest to me was the illustrations. They presented “kings and queens” time perfectly, very formal and crowded streets.
King Arthur The Sword in the Stone by Hudson Talbott published in 1991 is a decent story. I think students would find it more interesting than I do, which I need to take into consideration. However, it‘s extremely wordy and long for a early childhood education classroom.

I would use this book in my classroom when my students are learning about fairytales and old myths. Merlin and the sword in the stone story is a very popular fairytale. It is a great book and the illustrations are very creative and easy on the eye. This is a great book for children second and up to read in the classroom.
This book is about a boy who meets the wizard, Marlin, and then together they adventure the magic world. Merlin, the wizard, mentors the boy and teaches the boy all his magic spells and ways. I enjoyed reading this book and thought it fit perfectly into the magical fairytale section of stories.
