Much better than I expected. At least it left me wanting more. But that‘s why I couldn‘t give it 5 ⭐️s. I just needed a little bit more. Only to know what happened up until the asteroid struck Earth. Roth is good at constructing characters—this short story is no different. I instantly was enamored with the MC. A well-crafted short story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I‘m giving Veronica Roth another shot. I really liked the first book in the Divergent Series. By the third book, I was pretty done with this author. But it‘s a short story, and if I like it, I‘ll give the ARC of “Carve The Mark” that someone gave me a LONG time ago.

This is part of a series and I got it through Amazon Prime Reading (I think). Somewhere between so-so and a pick.

I didn‘t get much reading in today because I was shopping for new kitchen cabinets with my little sister, but these two novellas got me to and from the store!
