3stars!
My first ever Star Wars book and it wasn‘t bad at all, it wasn‘t amazing either but I did enjoy it and it was compelling enough to keep me reading. Karr was a fun character, talk about Jedi fanboy!! This is a quiet book, there is no action or huge fights, just a boy planet hopping looking for answers to his connection to the force, a simple quest book that was actually calming to read.

Pickpick

This takes place before The Force Awakens. The beginning didn't feel very Star Wars to me. It felt more like a typical high school, but that improved later on. There were some great cameos by well known characters. The way Karr experiences the force, his journey, and where he ends up made a great character arc. It was also interesting to see a more human side of the First Order through Maize and her father. Overall I ended up really enjoying this.

I don't read SW books. I own many because I am a huge SW fan. But I wan't nothing to play around with or interfer with my connection to the movies. So it's been a super long time (like before the prequels) since I read a SW book, maybe after the Rise of Skywalker I can pick this up.

And Yes I already have my tickets. I actually have two sets for two days, because by dang it I WILL have a SW BDay party.
