The thing I've missed most during quarantine is browsing bookshops! They're beginning to reopen in my area, so I had to scratch my itch. The Book Loft is doing shopping by appointment, and that's where my day began. Followed by a quick visit to Half Price Books. I can't express how incredible it was to browse (safely) again!! Found some horror paperbacks I've been lusting after, and a couple classic true crime books. What a fantastic day! 😊
Some parts were predictable, some Were Not, and all parts made an enjoyable little ride. The scares are pretty mild, but hanging out with this sad painting man who (eventually) suspects that he may have been caught up in a conspiracy delighted me regularly.
Update: so far The Reaping is about a secretly tragic man who paints. I'm have a good time, but this is a Slow Burn.
Meanwhile, I have no idea what this book is about. Bad nuns?
