pickAlthough a fan of Golden Age mysteries, I‘ve never read Ngaio Marsh‘s Roderick Alleyn series. So, I added this one to Libby and listened while I worked on a marathon baking session last week. Like most GA mysteries, the casual racism, ableism, and sexism is startling, and it was evident here in the blackface elements of Morris Dancing, the treatment of one of the characters who has epilepsy, and the overall depiction of women.
