The Truth About Fragile Things
The Truth About Fragile Things | Regina Sirois
5 posts | 4 read | 6 to read
Bryon died fifty years before his time. Charlotte grew up angry. I grew up scared. And Phillip- well, he never grew up. And now we are all bound together in one painful heap of humanity. Broken, but bound. And maybe it is only the fact that we are tangled in this terrible knot that will hold us together until we heal. This is unfortunately, and miraculously, my story. 17-year-old Megan Riddick is alive only because a stranger died to save her when she was a toddler. Fifteen years later she finds herself in the same high school as that heroic man's daughter. Charolette Exby never knew her father because he chose to save a child he didn't know instead of raise the one he loved. Plagued with guilt and resentment, Megan and Charlotte make an uneasy truce as they join forces to complete the bucket list of the man who made both of their lives possible.

Mehso-so

This was an ARC I received to review. I was drawn to the idea of the book, but I didn't really like the main character and the obligatory YA love triangle is a bit annoying. Still, it had it's moments and some really good lines. I didn't dislike it!

I really want to finish this and The Girls by Friday night when @24in48 starts, but my pesky job seems to interfere during the day, and at night I feel like I need to spend some time feeding and hanging out with my kids. Sometimes, adulting is hard! 😜😂

LauraBeth 😂😂 I used to shut my office door and read. When I was supposed to be working 8y

Audrey One of my friends, before ebooks, used to Xerox her book pages and then read them at her desk. The Harry Potter years were especially bad for trees. Then when she got an ebook and I told her about the desktop app, she did the dance of joy, as did the trees. 😄😇🌳🌳 8y
sprainedbrain @Audrey omg, that's hilarious! 8y
JillMoore1226 @sprainedbrain Ha! Damn jobs and feeding children always gettin' in the way of our reading! 😂 8y
sprainedbrain @JillMoore1226 Right?? On the bright side, the kids are going camping with grandpa this weekend so they won't starve while I'm doing the readathon. 👍 8y
