My 8 yr old son absolutely loved this book ❤️
My favourite part was Octobut, because he was silly and funny. I didn‘t want to stop reading because it was good.

I‘m enjoying reading this to my 8 Yr old son, he choose this one out of our pile to read books for him. We are reading a chapter a night and he‘s always sad that we come to the end of the chapter as he‘s captivated by the story. Sometimes as a treat we have an extra one.
Chapter 34/50
I seem to enjoy buying books for the Grandchildren as much as I do for myself. When I asked what books they wanted they said that I should choose them myself. Apparently they like the surprise of opening the package when it arrives and seeing what book they have rather than knowing in advance. I hope they like the Beast of Buckingham Palace.

2 Tagged. This was brought for my 10 year old daughter who is a huge Wailliams fan
3 Sky news app & local news app on my phone. I don‘t like to have the news on at home as it can be so distressing for my girls
4 I‘m one of those early birds who‘s up with a bounce, because I start work at 4am!

This year has certainly taken off with an unneccessary bang. I had to put away twitter and the news for a spell, there is just a limit to take in all what is happening.
I realised that even my reading was affected, did not want to read anything that gave me anxiety. So here's to Walliams and Bryson. May they give me a gentle day. With a chuckle even.
