This was such a cute read! There's a bit of mystery, betrayal and romance (though it doesn't overwhelm the story). Evie was pretty hard to like because of how self-centered she is, but she grew on me. I loved Milo and Gigi's characters, but I also loved that the story was uncomplicated, which I feel like some contemporary books with POC main characters struggle to do. Cheesiness = 100, but it's perfect if that's what you're looking for!

I thought the romance is not the highlight of this book. But I love the self-discovery and the grandparent-grandkid relationahip is really special. #ya #blackhistorymonth

So adorbs. Evie's poised to lead her first movie when a supposed friend leaks a drunken video. Evie's got a plan to fix everything, but the grandmother it relies on has gone AWOL leaving her with a distractingly cute boy.

I loved this book! Evie is going to be Hollywood‘s next big star. But when she is taped making fun of an important person in Hollywood she is fired and blacklisted. What hurt the most is Evie was betrayed by her best friend. Evie goes to NYC to present an award to her famous grandmother. She doesn‘t expect to met Milo who she thinks is taking advantage of her grandmother. When her grandmother disappears Milo and Evie looks al of the city for her.
