Loved this book which tells the story of the early part of the War of 1812, from a Canadian perspective. Covers the events of the Summer and Autumn of 1812. John MacLea is a great and dashing character, and hope soon to catch up with his further adventures in book 2 of the trilogy. Good to find out more about a war I know little about.

julieclair I need to read this! Have added it to my TBR stack. Like you, I know very little about this war, but my husband's ancestor fought in it, so I'd like to learn more. 2y

EadieB The War of 1812 was amazing with Andrew Jackson in command especially the Battle of New Orleans you can see hand of God in that victory! Just recently read:
