In her new bestseller, NYT bestselling Barbara Delinsky explores how lives and relationships are forever changed when three sisters reunite at their family Rhode Island beach house. One phone call is all it takes to lure real estate photographer Mallory Aldiss back to her family Rhode Island beach home. It's been twenty years since she's been gonerunning from the scandal that destroyed her parents' marriage, drove her and her two sisters apart, and crushed her relationship with her first love. But going home is fraught with emotional baggagememories, mysteries and secrets abound. Mal's thirteen-year-old daughter, Joy, has never been to the place where Mal's life was shaped and is desperate to go. Fatherless, she craves family and especially wants to spend time with the grandfather she barely knows. In just seven watershed days on the Rhode Island coast three women will test the bonds of sisterhood, friendship and family, and discover the role that love and memory plays in defining their lives.

This was a nice break from what I was reading. Not perfect. If Mallory said one more thing about tattoo I was going to scream. I have plenty of tattoos and work in finance 🙄. I did like the pit-bull representation. They are misunderstood. A nice summer read.

Kloves2read I love Barbara Delinskys earlier books better than her current work. In particular, Flirting With Pete, The Women Betrayed, Twilight Whispers, and The Summer I Dared. I personally feel she lost her writing spark. 5y
Skeebies05 @Kloves2read Yup! I almost bailed early on with this one but I needed brain candy and it worked. But lots of eye rolling to get through it. 5y

This line gave me an ick feeling. “She should have been mine” in regards to the main character‘s daughter. Umm that isn‘t a sweet thing to say - its creepy.

Delinsky delivers a big meaty beach read just in time for summer holiday kick off, Memorial Day. 2 families, 3 sisters, relationships & marriages broken, & 1 mysterious death. Can 1 week at the shore mend fences, heal relationships, & provide answers? I loved the character of Mallory and her daughter Joy! I wish there was more resolution on the mystery but, overallI really enjoyed this book by the iconic Delinsky!

Sisters torn apart by tragedy and ensuing divorce twenty years prior erupts one week at the shore. Middle sis Mal makes a surprise return to Bay Bluff after a disturbing call from neighbor Jack concerning her father. Judge Aldiss is dealing with memory issues and is conflicted with the tragedy that haunted the family for twenty years. The bonds of sisterhood and blame will define their future with or without each other. Mysterious and hopeful🤔

Our first winter in Alaska and Bryson is thinking we need more blankets :) #dogsoflitsy

This book was very well done, the pacing, characters, family dynamics, setting, tone, were all spot on. It had just the amount of family drama and mystery/suspense to make it very believable and compelling.

I won this ARC in a #goodreadsgiveaway and the release date is - 5/19/2020
