On GR, I gave it 4 stars because I love Mercy's world but in reality, 3 stars because it's disappointing in art & storytelling. The art is uneven with Mercy looking like a brunette Barbie in one scene & more muscular (less boobs) in the next.

I found a lack of continuity from the series, which was disappointing especially given that PB is list as an author. Also, I‘m not sure this would be enjoyable if you weren‘t familiar with the series.

4/5 for this one! I was so glad to finally read this one. I love getting to find out what happens before. The artwork was perfect. I couldn‘t put it down.

#7days7covers day 3. I love all the Mercedes Thompson covers, but here‘s a cool graphic novel cover.

Eh, I would have preferred a novella. The artwork was weird and distracting and I would have liked more info. I think part of the problem is that the characters don't look at all like I imagined, and I've had several books to form my own opinions about it.

Book 3 down for #24B4Monday. I love everything about the Mercy books, and this is a great prequel to her series. The characters don‘t look quite the way they do in my head, but not too far off either. Now I need to track down the other graphic novels.

ravenlee On a side note, I wish the proofreading in graphic novels in general was better. I noticed several typos in this one, like many others. 5y

I have so many holds in process at the library right now, I'm not bothering to make an #AprilTBR. This is today's #libraryhaul. I'm succumbing to the hype with Behind Her Eyes, so fingers crossed! Since most of the hype has come from here, I'm fairly optimistic. #littensknowbest #aprilbookshowers @RealLifeReading

I haven't actually read many graphic novels (although thanks to litsy my tbr is becoming full of them!) so I only own 3. As I have already mentioned the Kim Harrison graphic novels, I'm sending some love out for the Patricia Briggs graphic novel Homecoming.

Set before Moon Called, Homecoming is a fun introduction to Mercy, a coyote shapeshifter living in the Tri-Cities. ❤️I need to read Hopcross Jilly soon too!

Leniverse Love the Mercy books, but haven't tried the graphic novels. Flipped through one and thought the characters looked subtly wrong compared with my mental image of them. 🙄 8y
