I didn't realize this one was a novella, so I was surprised at how fast things were moving. I did enjoy this cute story about two people reconnecting after many years. I might have to go back and actually read the whole series.

I'm pretty sure I've read this one several times, and I enjoyed it again this time. It had less of the not great treatment of women that I've been noticing with the some of the others, so that was nice. I think this book is the reason I really got into this series originally.

There was some great info in here, but this book wasn't really for me. A lot of metaphors that didn't really work for me, a plethora of examples, and what seemed like a lot of repetitive info. I got the overarching message, which I appreciate, but I ended up skimming the last few chapters because it all seemed to be the same info. It's not a bad book, and I'm sure it would be a great resource for some people.

I read this several times in high school and got rid of my copy at some point. I found it again recently at a book sale and had to grab it. I still enjoyed it, but I definitely see things a little differently now that I'm older.

#BookishBingo: Travel to visit family

Clwojick I have this on my shelf. I grabbed it from the book swap shelf in my apartment lobby because I couldn‘t remember if I had already read it or not. I know I love Rachel Gibson though. 1w
Michollio @Clwojick I grabbed a few more of her books while I was at it! I'm excited to give them a try. 1w
Clwojick Years ago, I used to exclusively read this style of #chicklit. I loved the predictability of them. I normally want something with a little more mystery now days, but these are my go to books when I want something mindless and fun. They never fail to make me smile and laugh, and I find them perfect for audiocrafting, audiostudying & audiocooking BONUS points for the stories that star a cute pet. 🥰 1w

A funny book with some great illustrations. It's completely unbelievable, but it's also for middle schoolers, so I get it. Definitely going to continue with the series.

ElizaMarie I‘ve considered this one. I‘m guessing you‘d recommend it? 4d
Michollio @ElizaMarie For a middle grade book it was pretty entertaining. And it's a short read if you don't end up liking it. 4d

A collection of novellas from Kate Daniels' world. One is from Julie's POV, another from Kate's, and the other three are new characters from different places around the states. It was interesting to learn about how things work in other areas, as Kate's stories focus on Atlanta.

My favorite of the LA bookstores I visited (and the only one I bought from). It's a romance-themed bookstore and it was awesome. They had plenty of cool items, the decorations were fantastic, there was a used book section upstairs -- I highly recommend if you like romances. I'll definitely be going back.

Pictures from my visit to The Last Bookstore in LA (couldn't find in Litsy). I think it could have been great, but it was so full of tourists taking pictures that it was hard to move around and look at things. So I only got to see the outside of the book tunnel, etc. It's in an old bank, which is why there's a vault.

Congrats @LoverofLit on your milestones! Thanks for the chance at your #ThePowerofThreeGiveaway.

1. Urban fantasy/paranormal romance
2. Sweet 🍬
3. Usually a book and tea, and sometimes a sugary treat

LoverofLit Hey! Maybe you can help me. For the #Booked2019 challenge I need a good Person of Color Paranormal. Any good suggestions? 2mo
Michollio @LoverofLit Patricia Brigg's Mercy Thompson series is great, and Mercy is part Native American. I think Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series might work. Archangel's Enigma by Nalini Singh would work. Some of her other ones would probably work too, but I'm having a hard time finding the characters' ancestral background. Hope this helps! 2mo
GlassAsDiamonds @Michollio @LoverofLit - Nalini Singh‘s Archangel‘s Shadow, Archangels Storm and Archangels Viper each have MCs of colour (Indian and Creole, Indian and Polynesian and Indian and Asian although I‘m blanking on the exact ethnicity for Holly atm respectively) and Elena‘s mother is Moroccan so the first few in the series would also fit! 😊😊😊 The third in her Psy Changeling series would also fit but the name eludes me - it‘s Clays book in any event! 1mo
LoverofLit @Michollio and @GlassAsDiamonds Thank you both so much! ❤ 1mo
GlassAsDiamonds @LoverofLit 😊😊😊 LOVE Singh, always a pleasure to recommend her (but I do think her character writing has come on wonderfully since the first few of the Psy series... while they clearly “grow up” through the series, some of those guys needed a good slap to the head! 😂😂😂 I don‘t have the same quibbles the later books, with any of her novellas or the Archangel series!) 1mo
