Great guide for beginners on how to properly read a wine bottle, taste a glass of wine, pair food and wine, identify the main wine varieties by origin, aromas and style. The chapter on wine regions was disappointingly scarce, focusing on just the major wine areas size-wise and leaving out entire wine regions known for their unique and authentic noble origin grape varieties, but overall conveyed enough info for an introduction to wine 🍷🍾

Given that the book I've previously finished has re-raised my interest in wine but on a totally non-divine level, I'm already down to some practical matters, applying the guidelines in the tagged read directly to check the Marangoni effect (if there are any traces of wine "tears" or "legs" on my glass). Apparently there are some droplets, and indeed I'm tasting a high alcohol dry red wine ?

I just got it and already I love it! Looking forward to exploring this and Adventure Cats. So glad I ordered them and impressed by how quickly they arrived. Liking Bookshop.org a lot!

I really like wine, but I don't know much about it. I wanted to learn more, so I would feel knowledgeable enough to venture beyond the couple of types/brands I usually buy. I really liked this book, I learned a lot, and now I'm looking forward to being able to use my new knowledge the next time I go to a wine-tasting event! 🍷

Flipped through this book at the Amazon Bookstore yesterday and decided it was pretty interesting. Simple terminology and visuals to help understand the types and tastes of various wines. 🍷 🍷 🍷
