Sparks fly when two ex-best-friends team up to save a family business in this swoon-worthy and witty debut perfect for fans of Jenn Bennett and Sarah Dessen. Caroline Chuck Wilson has big plans for spring breakhit up estate sales to score vintage fashion finds and tour the fashion school she dreams of attending. But her dad wrecks those plans when he asks her to spend vacation working the counter at Bigmouths Bowl, her familys failing bowling alley. Making things astronomically worse, Chuck finds out her dad is way behind on back rentmeaning they might be losing Bigmouths, the only thing keeping Chucks family in San Francisco. And the one person other than Chuck who wants to do anything about it? Beckett Porter, her annoyingly attractive ex-best friend. So when Beckett propositions Chuck with a plan to make serious cash infiltrating the Bay Area action bowling scene, she accepts. But she cant shake the nagging feeling that shes acting irrationaltoo much like her mother for comfort. Plus, despite her best efforts to keep things strictly business, Becketts charm is winning her back over...in ways that go beyond friendship. If Chuck fails, Bigmouths Bowl and their San Francisco legacy are gone forever. But if she succeeds, she might just get everything she ever wanted.

This is a sweet wholesome YA romance book, absolutely perfect for winter. Certainly deals with rough topics like suicide and mental health illness. I did like the easy flow of the book, and the likeable characters. And definitely now I have more knowledge on bowling after completion of this fiction. It's a cute read with happy endings for me. A feel good book. 3.5/5

I really enjoyed this book. Caroline “Chuck” is looking forward to spring break when she finds out she has to work at her family‘s bowling alley. When her ex-best friend shows up she isn‘t happy to see Beckett. What makes it even worse is she overhears that her Dad is being evicted from the bowling alley. Chuck decides to work together with Beckett to try to save the bowling alley. Will she finally tell Beckett how she feels about him? 👇🏻👇🏻

Lovesbooks87 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻this book also dealt with mental health. I felt the adult handled the subject very well. #bookspinbingo space 20 3y

Fun, absorbing and completely delightful. You'll find yourself deeply rooting for Chuck and also wishing that you could find your very own underground action bowling league. Made me miss a San Francisco that I never even really knew. Awesome debut, can't wait to read what's next!!!. *Full Disclosure: A.D. Coombs is my sister, but regardless (!) this book is great and worth a read 🎳💕

Hi Littens! This book is my little sister's DEBUT NOVEL! She's a YA author at Simon Pulse and this amazing book is coming into the world on July 14th. I loved it and I hope that other YA fans out there might love it too! If teen romance, action bowling, mental health representation, or the cloudy streets of San Francisco tickle your heart strings, consider adding this to your TBR, requesting at your library or pick up a preorder. I'm so proud 🤩💕
