The Fascinators | 
pickThis was one of the best reading experiences I‘ve had this year. Nearly perfect, light but smart YA novel. Easy to follow story about a handful of teens with magical powers in present day south. But sooo good. Almost read it one sitting. Delightful.
so-soahhh...I wanted to like this way more than I did. I also really disliked James...like A LOT. I don't know if that was what the author wanted but AGH I disliked him! The magic was cool and I liked getting the side of the trio in school and the cult people. Just didn't do anything special for me.

pickIf you are wondering what magical realism is, it is this book. It was different than I expected and yet expectedly good.

There is just something about waht looks like a pink ball of magic in the kids hand that screams read me. Is it magic? No idea. No idea what this book is about, but I love the Cover.
