Act is the funny and honest follow-up to the middle school graphic novel sensations, Click and Camp. Perfect for fans of Raina Telgemeier, Shannon Hale, and Victoria Jamieson.

Didn‘t feel as well paced as the previous 2. As even the book states, some things aren‘t funny and should be serious. Like the dress code for girls or that students who can‘t pay can‘t go on field trips. So Olive decides to go against her friends to fix it. I liked how the questioning showed between them all. Well written spaces for this topic. Like Olives aunt encouraging protests and mom says stay out of trouble. Good library time.

Continuing a good series, this installment shows Olive Branche becoming aware of the unfairness around her (students who can‘t attend field trips if they can‘t pay, inconsistent dress code enforcement, etc) and deciding to get involved in the student council to address it.

Based on the title, I thought this was going to be about a school play but it‘s about student council elections and activism with some great info on protests throughout US history. Recommend for the middle grade set.
