Once the world's most famous chef, Gavin Cruikshank's been in a self-imposed exile for years. His little foodie television program has since evolved into STARVE, an arena sport that pits chef against chef for the pleasure of their super-rich patrons. It's a stain on a once-noble profession, and Chef Gavin is ready to go to war to stop it. Two things stand in his way: his arch rival Roman Algiers, and his adult daughter Angie, who probably just wants her dad back and acting normal.

A story about a washed out celebrity chef trying to regain his glory in a cooking reality show called, Starve.

In this issue the challenge is to go to another competitors kitchen, kick the crap outta the staff, and then make whatever dish it is the judges request after the fight is won.

The first half of this volume was awesome - the 2nd half, sadly, lost its way. So it gets a so-so.

GrilledCheeseSamurai @Reggie it started off really strong. The volume consists of 9 issues and 1-5 were really good. Issues 6-9...I dunno. It just lost steam IMO. Give it a shot though! It's probably just me. 👍 7y

Reread this last night, round about midnight. Seriously one of the best comic books I've ever read. This is text and art coming together to form some third thing. And? I have zero interest in reality programming, and have never watched a cooking show. But still, Starve completely draws me in.
