Very asking. If you have reached a certain stage, it‘s best to keep reading to not lose all the threads.

I must admit that somewhere in the middle I struggled with the book because in some plot lines I was interested more than in others. But overall it gives you something to think over “What is reality?â€, “Where is the border between human and machine intelligence? Is this one more real than the other?†and about causality.

Resonates for long.

Seconded, Sarah and Jodyâ€¼ï¸ ðŸ¥° 🤗 #MarvelousMay

I often notice that I tend to talk about the annoying parts of my day. Just yesterday I picked up the phone to report of what made me happy to create a counterweight. To not only give room to reckless risk-group-members and/or authorities that don‘t think of minorities when issuing new regulations.

Today/at the moment I am thankful for today‘s holiday giving me lots of time on my own discretion.

JoScho That is a perfect thing to be thankful for. I can get negative too and find myself looking for the bad instead of the good. Thanks so much for joining me for Marvelous May 🖤🖤🖤 5y
Buechersuechtling @JoScho That‘s mutual. It was actually your idea to shift focus (back) on the nice things rather than on those that bother. 😠5y
Buechersuechtling @JoScho And, at least for me, it makes a difference if I sit on my sofa and think about nice things of my day or week only for myself or if I see a sense in sharing those little (or big) moments with a community in order to (try to) raise everyone‘s spirits. 🤷ðŸ½â€â™€ï¸ 5y

TheAromaofBooks I read somewhere that when you learn a song on the piano, you practice until your fingers automatically hit the right notes. If we spend a lot of time focusing on the negatives in our life, those are the notes we automatically hit. But if we train ourselves to focus on the positive, looking for those positives starts to become instinctive. So yay for self-training!! 😠@JoScho 5y
Buechersuechtling @TheAromaofBooks It‘s similar to the #Grateful21-challenge @Eggs started a bit more than one year ago: https://bit.ly/3eF2nEb – so, yeah, most of the time you can catch me with such things. Additionally it‘s nice to imagine to be able to learn a new piano 🎹 song in 21 days – which could happen if you combine the 2 challenges. I‘m already curious to scroll through all the postings. 😄 5y
Eggs Hah I was going to start another grateful 21 this month!! Great idea! It really gets my soul in the right place. Going to do this @JoScho @Buechersuechtling @TheAromaofBooks â¤ï¸ 5y

I like my current audiobook. Audiobooks are a really good companion when I feel I have no loose time at the end of the day.

Herein Brandhorst borrows elements: One character reminds me of Voldemort, some of his plot lines remind me of some of A. Eschbach‘s and M. Elsberg‘s books.

But until now mental journeys (in other people‘s worlds of thought), machine intelligence and climate change work well together.
I‘m not loving it but I‘m so curious.

Sorry, I‘m late to the #ThoughtfulThursday-party. My last 2 weeks obviously are fully stuffed with I-don‘t-even-exactly-recall-what. What ever it is, it constantly keeps me from reading or having time for myself. 🙄 A fact that stresses me more than all social-distancing- and/or stay-at-home-rules do.

Buechersuechtling @JoScho I ‘d love to reply: “It was a pleasure.†But honestly, for me it was hard work. But as I said, this is because I tend to taking those games a bit too serious with not posting the entries coming to my mind first but searching for those answers that are really, really true. 🤭 But it‘s nice that you‘re creative enough to set those games on every week. (I couldn‘t do so.) Thank you for this. Many answers I saw are great fun. 5y
JoScho Lol yes it can be hard to figure out my answers here as well. 5y
Come-read-with-me @Buechersuechtling Thanks for the tag! I think you did a great job on this. Dexter is my husband‘s favourite TV series and now he‘s reading the books! 5y

Moving on without remembering the summary. But I hope that this audiobook will keep my interest better than “Cloud Atlas†did. Really, after the first half of those 21 hours I already felt that I would be #GladItsOver – and I was.
Sorry, not sorry.

This one is also a long audiobook: a bit over 17 hours, for which I have 2 weeks left. So wish me luck – if the story captures me, this will easily be done.

Mr Brandhorst, that‘s your call.
