The Burgundy Bookmark: A Mackaman Adventure | Greg Philby

My dad wrote this book about siblings and their adventures for my sister and me to enjoy several years ago. He never shared it with anyone, but ordered his own print-on-demand copies for the family to enjoy and read. I am now sharing with my friends' kids who are the perfect age for it and we are going to have a quarantine bookclub around the book. I can't wait!

The Mackaman kids find a magical bookmark. They find out the hard way that the ⬇

katy4peas bookmark will stick them into the book where they leave the bookmark... a comic book, a romance, a math textbook... ugh! They then have to figure out how to get out of the book in which they find themselves.

The book is a combination of Edward Eager, Lemony Snicket, and E. Nesbit making it a fun, magical adventure to which kids can easily relate. 💙 5y

katy4peas @wanderinglynn he didn‘t want to at first, but he is thinking about it now just to be able to more easily share it with people... the software has changed a lot since he first typed it up and it doesn‘t have an ISBN so he would have to possibly retype the entire thing in order to assign it an ISBN in Blurb and then self publish or print on demand. 5y
