I don't know what made me pick this one up. I'm generally not a fan of anything resembling a Western. But a few years ago I ended up with this on my Kobo, and I absolutely loved it. Part Western, part Old Hollywood, with a dash of unreliable narrator.

I haven't posted anything in a while because I have been busy with school and work. I had to read The Englishman's Boy for my class, and I really enjoyed it. I liked the connection between the two narratives, and how the author pulled the two stories together, which worked very well. The plot was gripping; however, I was left with some unanswered questions.

Warning - you must be comfortable with intense violence and sexuality for this read.

Part Western, part #Hollywood. A 1920's screenwriter sets out to learn the story of a legendary cowboy. A simple line doesn't do it justice, I loved this book.
