I‘ve been listening to two podcasts lately. They are both amazing! I have caught up at the Victorian Scribblers episodes but they are taking a break until June. And I‘m halfway through the What‘s Her Name episodes. I highly recommend both of these podcasts 🎧

This was a great reread! As usual with Austen, there are many layers of social and cultural critique underlying this charming story. I can never get enough of Austen. Jack loves her work too 😝

I found this play to be quite funny. I enjoyed listening to the audiobook very much 🎧

Rereading Northanger Abbey next

Every time I read Jane Austen, I am in awe of her eloquence and her brilliancy. I loved this book even more the second time around ❤️

A great read on a Friday night ❤️🧡💛

I haven‘t been on Litsy in forever! I guess I got caught up in a lot that has been going on. I got a new job in October, and then my family and I went to Disney World! Then it was Christmas and now I‘m getting ready to move to a new house! It‘s been a crazy few months, but it has been a lot of fun. I finished rereading Sense and Sensibility a while ago and loved it even more than the first time I read it. And now I am rereading P&P! ❤️

Decided to reread Jane Austen‘s novels! Starting with Sense and Sensibility 💜✨

I loved this book. I am obsessed with anything to do with the Victorian era, so this was perfect for me. I enjoyed Goodwin‘s take on Queen Victoria, although I fond her portrayal of Victoria to be too childish than she may have actually been. I would‘ve liked to have more focus on political matters, but the romances were entertaining. Now I can‘t wait to read more about her. Overall, I found myself caught up in the story‘s charm 👑✨

Coffee, cherry pie, and a book on this cool fall day 🍂☕️🥧📖🍁

There are many things that I could say about this book. Emma infuriated and annoyed me, but she was also fascinating to me. There are many layers to this story. Along with the social, political, and sexual elements, Flaubert‘s satirical portrayal of the upper class is thought-provoking in several ways. Overall, this was quite a captivating book.

I grabbed this book because it looks old and it‘s pretty book. It‘s called The School for Scandal and after doing some research it seems that this is a copy from 1899! I bought it for $4 today 😮😍

I have been sick the past few days. The last two days I had a headache that wouldn‘t go away so I wasn‘t in the mood to read. Today my headache is gone, so now I am getting cozy with my book and some tea 🤒☕️

As someone who recently graduated from University, it was nice to read something that is meant to be inspiring or, at least, reassuring. Lately, I have been experiencing concern about my current job situation and future prospects. Although I don‘t feel like going out and conquering the world after reading this book, I did feel comforted by her experiences and motivational perspective.

Basically, I just love Lauren graham and anything she does 💕

Starting this one tonight. Will probably finish it in one sitting because it is a very short book. I hope it lives up to my expectations! 🌸🌻

Wow. I‘ll admit that the first bit didn‘t catch my attention that much, but as the story progressed I became more and more intrigued. I find the ending to be genius. Atwood‘s mind is incredible.

I enjoyed the first half and the ending of this book. I found the first half to be intriguing and inspiring. I didn‘t really care for the plot twist, although it was definitely unexpected. I feel as though it wasn‘t the right path the story should‘ve taken. However, the ending made up for it. I didn‘t know that the author had based the story on her own ancestors until I finished the book, but it definitely made the story more meaningful to me.

There were parts of this book that I enjoyed and other parts that I didn‘t like or that I felt dragged on. There is much I could say about this book, but for one thing I felt it to be quite an odd and unique story. It definitely stands out. But I didn‘t like the twist in the story regarding Pip‘s benefactor. I was also aggravated with Pip‘s decisions a lot of the time. However, I did enjoy the last couple chapters, and Pip‘s change in character.
