Good
I didn‘t know what to expect. This is a different series (Book #1 in the Gideon Crew series) by Preston & Child and doesn‘t feature Pendergast, although it does have a side character from the Pendergast series in it. It took me a bit to get into it and then I enjoyed the adventure. I‘m curious to see what happens in the next Gideon Crew book.
This is the first book in the Gideon Crew series. Gideon is the flawed hero in this novel. He is a really enjoyable character to read and you cannot help but be on his side. There is plenty of a action and plenty of humor. A word of warning the plot can times really toe the line between great story and being totally over the top. Still it is a pick from me
I've had book 3 of this series on my TBR forever based on a review I saw. So when the library had the earlier books I decided to start at the beginning (cause I'm one of those people). Eh. Did not really enjoy this at all, so there's a book I can remove from the TBR.
Just started this last night and stayed up WAY too late cause I couldn't put it down!
Light and fast moving. A perfect audiobook for multitasking.
(Although the added music at the end of chapters was a bit jarring and very annoying. #notafanofmusicinbooks)
I am going to try and get through this series while doing final show prep this week. I heard the first three in the series are okay (not as good as the Pendergast books) but the last one is excellent.
If I am going to read the last one them I have to read them all (and in order)
