This was...fine? It all felt Very Typical. Every character is a cardboard cutout of the Quintessential Middle Grade Novel. Plucky Young Girl Who Is Constantly Underestimated, Proper Grown Ups Who Are Either Absentminded Or Very Interested In Being Proper, etc. It was nice, but I wasn‘t riveted. I drifted in out of the story without feeling any attachment at all. Cute, mildly interesting, but not particularly new. 4th for #24in48. ★★★☆☆.
