While the story was good and the artwork was amazing, none of the characters felt fully developed.

Quite liked this one. Really just like the whole idea of the bad guys doing shit. 💚🖤💙
So like.......by some trick of magic...all the volumes of New 52 Suicide Squad that I mentioned in my last post are available at the central library branch... 😲 guys should I do it should I beg my dad to take me there so I can get them? Ik this is totally destroying my no library book thing but TO BE FAIR I'm going to Virginia for a wedding this weekend and it's a 7 hour drive one way. So I gotta stock up, right? RIGHT? Please enable me
Reading more of the New 52. Not really sure how much I liked this one, but I do love Harley Quinn.
My daughters (just my youngest girl pictured, the oldest girl is out of range) found out how to turn Suicide Squad on so they're glued to the t.v. They have developed a thing for Harley Quinn. I still haven't seen the movie. Mainly because I'm afraid of what they may have done to some favourite characters.
Really fucking weird 😳 but I liked it! Learned about some new DC villains and just kind of went along with the story cos it was wild haha
It's been a while since I've indulged in any graphic novels, but after this Monday my brain needed a break. My old friends, The Suicide Squad were just what I needed!
So that's how they came to be! I loved this: funny and violent. What's not to like? I wish I didn't read it so fast though (much to my husbands disgust). At this rate I will have finished the whole set before the end of the week, but if they're all as good as this, who cares?!!
A bit of light Sunday reading. I'm thinking of it as research. I'll be going to watch the movie at the end of the month with my sister. She'll catch her death in that top....
UPDATE: Suicide Squad was awesome!!! Ignore the reviews, it's a big fun action movie with great performances from Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and the criminally underrated Viola Davis. Very much influenced by the New 52 take on the characters, but still faithful to the original premise. I loved every minute!
