Despite the clever title, this is NOT a fluffy book. It's a sharp-edged, uncomfortable, all-too-real window into the reality of the humans, good, evil, and indifferent, in WWII Prague. Altogether a book one ought to read, and enjoy. There are many stories of heroism and happy endings amid the horrors of WWII, but few that simply show the ordinariness of the evils of the Nazi regime. Weil is an excellent storyteller.
